California, popularly known as a tourist destination, is the third largest state in the United States of America. It has been nicknamed “The Golden State”, based on the sunny weather and for being the hub of plentiful natural resources, which was represented by the color gold.

California is also known for Hollywood, Silicon Valley, and Disneyland and is often considered a place for new opportunities, adventures, beaches, canyons, deserts, mountains, scenic counties, and cities with their grand nightlife. June and September are ideal for the beaches and the musical summer festivities.

This West Coast state has been on the bucket list of avid travelers over the years. A ten-day trip is perfect for covering the state’s major attractions. While you explore the sunny beaches and the state’s bountiful natural resources, consider having a Holafly sim, which would make your journey more memorable while sharing your experience on social media and staying connected with your loved ones.

Outdoor Treasures to Discover in California

McArthur – Burney Falls Memorial State Park

Burney Falls is a National Natural Landmark located in Northern California along the Pacific Coast Trail. With a beautiful landscape formed by volcanic activities and natural erosion, you can walk through the lush green forests, look for various wildlife, and get mesmerized by the 129-foot Burney Falls.

Glacier Point

Glacier Point is located in Yosemite National Park and an hour’s drive from Yosemite Valley; the viewpoint offers an impressive view of Yosemite Valley, Half Dome, and the High Sierra. Since it’s miles apart from the city, the darkness makes it a delightful place for stargazing.  Bring a star chart, or use your esim iPhone, and look for your favorite constellations. You can even grab a telescope and see the planets in the beautiful night sky.

Hollywood Sign Trail

A 2.5-hour hike will take you to the Hollywood Sign or the Hollyridge Trail. The trial is open to tourists and their pets all year round. You can enjoy breathtaking city skyline views while surrounded by many peaks. You can consider three more trails to hike the Hollywood Sign: the Mt.Hollywood Trail, the Brush Canyon Trail, and the Cahuenga Peak Trail.

Sunset over the Golden Gate Bridge

Nobody can think of San Francisco without imagining the Golden Gate Bridge, the most prominent structure in the city’s skyline. The sundown gives way to the beautiful play of colors in the skyline of the city, with the Golden Gate Bridge in the foreground, making it a picturesque event. To catch a glimpse of the sunset, you can go to these places: Fort Point, Hawk Hill, Baker Beach, and Lands End, or take the Sunset Cruise ship for the panoramic view.

Wine Tasting

Napa Valley is the gem of the Californian Wine World. The thirty-mile-long valley is considered a world-famous Wine growing region. About 240 wineries can be found here. An hour-long drive from San Francisco through the lush landscape of hills intertwined with vines is thrilling. In between the endearing small towns, you will come across tasting rooms of Mondavi, Diamond Creek, Opus One, and Joseph Phelps.

You can also grab a seat at the Napa Valley Wine Train to enjoy the ride on the antique Pullman rail as you sip from the fine Napa Cabernet for an unparalleled fine dining experience.
